The country has receives a great deal of development assistance from the World Bank, and its economy is now diversifying and expanding. Somali tourism offers visitors an amazing variety of experiences, both inside and outside the country. Some of the most popular attractions in Somali tourism are the Ruins of Djibouti, the Somaliland capital, and the fishing villages around Puntland. Other popular experiences include witnessing traditional Somali music and dance, exploring the ruins of ancient civilizations such as Harran and Barmadar, or visiting the Haram market in Mogadishu.
