Aberdeen has a temperate climate with typically mild winters and cool summers. Summers are usually quite warm, but rarely over 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit) in the hot months. The average monthly high temperatures are around 17 degrees Celsius (63 Fahrenheit).

Currency and Language.

One thing to keep in mind is that the currency in Scotland is the British pound. You can exchange your currency before you go, but it will be easier if you take cash as well.

The language spoken in Aberdeen is Scottish English. So, if you’re traveling from the United States, be prepared to say “the” instead of “than.”
