Lindale is a small town with plenty of big things to offer. From the annual fair to the Cowboy Church services on Sundays, there is never a shortage of activities to get involved with. And for those who are looking for something less formal or more exciting, there are always festivals or concerts happening throughout the year.

Enjoy the annual fair

April is when the annual fair comes to town. The Lindale annual fair has been around for over 100 years and it features all the classic items you’d expect like carnival rides, festival food, and tons of games. You can also see your favorite country artist perform at the country music stage or get your photo taken with a live animal. There are even contests where you can show off your skills in categories like baking and sewing.

Attend Cowboy Church services on Sundays

One of the best parts about living in a small town is not just getting to know your neighbors, but also the sense of community. Lindale offers Cowboy Church services on Sundays and it’s an incredible experience for both locals and visitors.

The church has been meeting since 1853 and they still continue to meet today, which makes it one of the oldest churches in Texas. There are no bells or whistles at this church; it’s all about spirituality and talking to God. There’s no hymnal here- the congregation is encouraged to sing from memory or even hum along with the sermon if they can’t quite remember the tune.

Another thing that sets this service apart is that it incorporates humor and jokes into the sermon. The pastor will often poke fun at himself and he’ll joke about things happening around town like traffic, school closures, or even what’s going on in politics. It’s a friendly environment where there’s never any judgement from anyone present.

In addition to being a Sunday service, they also have Wednesday night prayer meetings, so be sure to stop by during one of those times as well!

Check out the local festivals and concerts

Whether you like country music or R&B, Lindale has a festival to suit your taste. The annual fair is coming up and will be open from September 8-10. This event includes carnival rides, games, and food stands as well as livestock shows and competitions. And if you like blues, there’s the 8th Annual Blues Festival on October 21st.

Don’t forget about the Cowboy Church services on Sundays at 10 AM! This is a perfect time for newcomers to attend church.
